Re: A pair of ribbon tweeters on top of an Altec

I run EV tw-35's on top of altec 803's crossed at 3500hz 24db/oct linkwitz riley.
mounted vertically without a baffle they make a nice addition.
I think they are the best tweeters I have heard for pure energy.

The 350's would have alittle more range. the 35's roll off at 13.5Khz.
May one day go after a pair of those.

    nice midbass horns!

Re: A pair of ribbon tweeters on top of an Altec

    Thanks guys for the comments!
Below 10Khz is out of the question with this tweeter.
Matter of fact...whatever the dispersion issues with the 288 and 511e...
it's excellent what it does achieve up high. Would need serious quality
    to stay up the 288s.

Anyway came home tonight after what is now years of tweaking and gosh...
played a few cuts and...again gosh what an enjoyable experience.
Maybe I need to thank everyone hear again who've helped me here on this forum.
    It's been incredibly worthwhile...this venture.
(but I'm not kidding myself...much more to do )
